Oil consumption test
Are they still doing the oil consumption test? I have a 2014 X5 50i. I parked my BMW in 2019 at 90,000 miles because I was sick of dealing with the BMW service departments in the Milwaukee, WI area. I purchased it in 2014 for $85,000 and went in on several occasions to tell them the oil light was coming on before it should have, only to have the guys in the service department tell me you do not need to keep coming in to the dealership just put more oil in it. Needless to say that was my last BMW purchase. I have a friend and he keeps telling me to take it in for the oil consumption test because I could get a new engine but Im torn because my BMW service visits have been terrible. The new X5 is gorgeous but I refuse to buy another BMW because of our local BMW service departments.
