Sounds like a fault as I have the same system and it works perfectly. Not been flashed once, even on motorways. You should see that the blue main beam light remains lit on the dash, and actually see the beams modifying as traffic approaches. It's instant on the new version, dipping individual beams before cars even make it fully round the bend!
