In most European countries we rearly buy a car that's already at the dealer. 95% are custom build at the factory according to your requirements.
That's probably why dealers here are already taking orders for the past 2 months, while in the US I suppose dealerships prefer you buy a car from the lot.
My order has a production number, and is now shifted to first week of Dec production. So yes, BMW is able to take orders for Dec production
