Sounds like you just got a bad car. Your experience is certainly not typical.
But whatever you prefer is the right answer.
I personally hate that I need to carry around oil with me. Other than that, it's a dream. And I love the power.
Either way. Like you say, lots of reasons one might choose one or the other.
