I keep only one ride, I agree minivan is the best option for family car, but I am trying to multitask and I set my expectations low, I understand "3rd row" as an option is not a substitute for a proper full size 7 or 8 pass vehicles.

Thanks for the reminder, maybe the new model made some improvements on 3rd row, otherwise I don't remember it being much better than X5 with 3rd row, I'll go back and look at it.

Yep, same issue here, low clearance on garage door, and complicated driveway limiting height & length of my next ride. I looked at GX and LX, strangely GX sits taller than LX?

I had 3rd row in E70, it's pretty miserable.
Escalade would be my first choice (despite it being a fleet car, so my color would be something like a red or blue) but again, the height is the limiting factor. My 1st choice was GL (now GLS) and even though the vehicle clears my roof, the roof rails makes it a challenge. I thought AMG (though I don't think I'd spend that much money on that) would cancel the rails, there is no option. I asked the dealer about it, he said even if we somehow cancelled it (no option at the moment) he said antenna sticking out. I even looked at GX which seems to be even taller.

Nobody mentioned MDX, is it not reliable or something that I don't know about Acuras? Since this will not be utilized on a daily basis (I just want to try and gather two families, 4 adults, 1 young adult and 1 kid, or 4 adults, 3 kids in car seats/boosters in same car whenever we decide to go on a road trip. So while it wouldn't be utilized on a daily basis, whenever we get people in the vehicle, it would be at least 4-5 hrs trip, so they need to be somewhat comfortable.
