I think the Euro adaptive would surpass the XC90. When activated, it extends the range of the lighting at any point it can without glaring other drivers. While I appreciate what IIHS is trying to do, I don't know if I agree with their evaluation criteria.
With high beams (non Euro-adaptive LED), the right lane exceeds what IIHS states is optimal by about 50 feet. I think when the Euro Adaptive is engaged, that the left lane would be equal with the right lane. This has been my experience with it anyway.
The XC60 is slightly better in this test, but in real world functionality, I would say they are nearly equal and if the Euro-Adaptive was allowed, would surpass the XC60. Just more reason to get the LED's and code them.
It also surprises me how the XC60 with HID gets a Good, but the XC90 gets a marginal with LEDs.
