Why? Are you assuming that because the oncoming lane is to the left? The lights are programmed to track your lane of travel as determined by the steering angle of the tires. In that sense, they actually have to go farther to the right because turns of equal centerline arc would produce a smaller radius of right-lane travel to the right, and a larger radius to the left.
