The B&O system's mids/highs and ability to play clear clean distortion free at any volume level are worth it. Esp if you are looking at the used market you won't really pay any extra. The lack of base can be fixed for a few hundred $.
The MSRP for the option is too high, but it's a great system and event better when you didn't pay the MSRP and enhanced it with a 4ohm sub upgrade
