According to BMW corporate, liability is the only reason traffic jam assist will not debut in the USA for a couple of years. Liability laws in Europe are much more relaxed. Has to be vetted out there first. Also keep in mind that for traffic jam assist to work currently one of your hands has to be on the wheel. So long as you have acc stop/go, your just fine.
