Thanks for the inputs. Might abuse the G550 this winter and order the M in March so I get it post winter.
I'll be reading the snow tire forums alot in the meantime. Fed going with 20"s and dedicated snow tires for winter. I don't mess around with those VT roads.
Figure the x5m m even though I'm reading its stiff, will likely be incredibly comfy coming from the G wagon which is pretty hard truck to drive.
