You cannot use BMW Apps with BT : it only works with USB cable or snap in.
If you connect your iphone in BT, and then 'stream' the sound from apps like pandora, spotify or napster web radio, yes you can get the sound in your car but this is not actually BMW apps with integrated controls and thus album art.
In BT, you'll get album art only from reading music you have in your iPhone (from Apple music app), and then you can also fully control your library (search, list, play/pause/next/previous, etc.)
