The 37°F warning is a useful one and you may wish to pay some attention to it.

You may remember cycling at night, you feel amazing temperature variations on your face.

Asphalt cools fast (radiates heat) at night and, if no wind, the cooler and heavier air touching it does not mix and sticks to the ground.

It's counterintuitive and difficult to believe, but in such conditions you may have a 4-5°F lower temperature from the 10" height of the car's sensor down to the ground, getting road frost - not often so but enough to merit being advised.
