I've managed to get the VIN of my car from my dealer and if your car has departed the Factory (gone past Code 9000) you may be able to track it on

The Link in a previous post describes the thread that details this all and how to do it, but putting it simply
https://www.2wglobal.com/ -> Track & Trace -> Stick VIN in Cargo ID -> gives you boat it's on and then track that on
http://www.sailwx.info/ using the callsign of the ship.
Like I said, not taking any credit for this its all described in detail in another thread but managed to track mine to a ship that is currently in the middle of the English Channel on its way to Bremerhaven then around to Southampton by 4th Feb.
The wait is killing me.
