I had the coin problem which drove me mad of course. Whole Job took me about 2.5 hours, next time it would be less than an hour as I'm always nervous about breaking or scratching the trim. Gettiing the upper (aluminuim) trim off was a nightmare and replacing it was even worse. I snapped 2 plastic lugs but fortunately the screws and 1 remaining lug was enough to keep it all nice and tight. Ideally you need to remove the 2 glove box lids but this is also not starightforward.
Good news is I am 3 euros richer! And the stupid, stupid slot is now filled so it cant happen again. Also Im now going to get carbon trim as replacing it is very easy (now!)
