The next generation
BMW X6 (F16) will be revealed this Summer and dealers have just recently received ordering forms for their demo/initial models. As before, these demo ordering guides have proven to be a good predictor of what options, packages, equipment will be made available for the regular customer ordered models.
The
2015 model year guide we posted yesterday shows that the F16 X6 will come to the US in xDrive35i and xDrive50i models for the 2015 model year. Demo/initial models will begin production this August and regular customer models will be produced beginning this November. It will make its auto show debut at the Moscow auto show in late August.
The new X6 will share styling cues from both the new X5 and the upcoming X4. It shares the X5's new headlights-meet-grilles, enlarged kidney grilles and more forward leaning front fascia. Like the X5, the X6 also features air breather vents behind its front wheels. With the X4 it shares the distinctive rear upsweeping character line which extends from the front of the rear fender upwards to meet the rear tail lights.
The next gen
X6 M (F86) will join the lineup a few months later when it begins production in December 2014.
