32307851514 - M Sport touch-enabled steering wheel w/heat ~600 euro

My brother lives in Germany so I had him ship me the parts.

I, too, decided to skip swapping out the buttons on my steering wheel - it would have been ~200 euro for the new switch cluster but I did not want to call attention to the feature.

Photos are attached but the process is pretty simple. The "touch enabled wheel" is definitely a different part, it has an additional set of wires that my m-sport w/heat did not. These wires connect to the new touch module. The new wiring harness is required for all US vehicles and is basically an extension that has the new leads for the touch module.

Not sure if all of these were entirely necessary but I VO coded BDC, KAFAS2 and KOMBI. The buttons and notifications worked at this point but the new module caused a malfunction each time I tried to activate it. I used Rheingold to clear the errors and it automatically calibrated the new touch module as part of its "calculated test plan."
