AS is firmer in sport (its hydraulic as oppose to electric steering). 2016 was the last model that had it, was upset they took it out (very few people took it and many repairs within warranty period). I had it on E71 and 2015 model F15, loved it. Now am without it in 2017 and starting to forget how good AS was in terms of parking and stiffness in sport mode.
