I'm not worried, because I've decided that I don't want to do either. It runs great the way it is. I was just interested in how it works on the bmw. I am familiar with the ford pcm, just not the bmw's. |
From my understanding they can see how many times the ECU has been flashed. That normally would just raise suspicion. Now if you had the REV limiter increased along with other mods and something went wrong they'll have no problem blaming the modifications for certain issues. Lot of things to factor in but yes if they really wanted to see whether the ECU has been modified they can.
