I saw that BMW has some type of camera when ordering but didn't tick that box. Perhaps there is a way to record these things.

Here in the USA, all insurance claims are reported and will appear on the CLUE report (comprehensive loss underwriting experience), and will then also show on the CARFAX report. Yes, I am an insurance agent.
