Uh, you didn't watch the race did you? A Ford GT took out a Ferrari and a Corvette and a Porsche 911. And I think another Ford GT. The M6s were lucky that they weren't running with the pack. This was a matter of attrition not a matter of doing what it's supposed to do. |
Well it did what it was supposed to do by taking pole and jump from 3rd to 2nd on the start to avoid the pile up...
I myself have been critical of the team and the car in the past, but credit where it is due, avoiding the pile up wasn't luck, it was the result of strong qualifying and a good start.
