According to my source, should activate all the assistance gadgets the car has.
Am not sure how it will work, but it is there to help you activate it all (PDC, automatic parking available Dec 2013 production, etc.). Basically "all in one" button, so that you do not have to go pushing all kinds of buttons and drill down idrive menus.
Again, not sure how it will work, but smtgh along those lines.
