If you are having the dealer do it then i would let them code it. It should NOT wipe out any of your own coding since they are just adding something and not recoding your entire ecu.

All my coding was left intacted after coding for the brakes.

MAKE SURE THIS IS DONE. YOUR BRAKES WILL FEEL LIKE THEY AREN'T WORKING PROPERLY UNTIL THE CODING IS DONE. I drove around for a few days without coding and the entire time I thought something was wrong until i saw a few threads on the 3 series forums saying the same thing after they got their MPBK installed without coding. After coding its night and day difference.

Thanks Alan!
What is the average price for instalation?
BMW estimates for around 1200 + loaner, time for job is 2days.
Would you recommend reliable mechanic in Brooklyn to install new brakes faster and less expansive?
I'm in North Jersey just right across GW Bridge but willing to drive to BKLN.
I also going to ask our forum for local NJ mechanic.
