I always try to look at the half full of the glass...
With the recent evolution on SUV's from other automotive brands specially Mercedes, Audi and Infiniti, I was expecting a bigger entrance from "The Boss is Back"...
Now, I'm not questioning this new X5 by any means (with the exception of the Fog Lights placement?!); but I have some concerns:
- The car does not bring any new excitment as to "wow, I've got to own this car" or "damn, this will be my next BMW!"...
- I think it will do better in capturing new marketshare than "trade in's" from current BMW owners... As the owner of the new X3 and new 3 series, it doesn't really give me enough incentive to trade any of my 2 BMWs (once their time're up of course) for this X5.
- the interior is a major improvement to the previous model, but still it is in the "Me-too" market.
overall, I'm sure it will be a great car...but no Wow factor!
