I would vote for ACS or just spending the extra money on Coilovers setup.
My friend with X5 35i base suspension got KW V3 and car is lowered;happy and handles better than ever.
Although if it was me, I would go with another Coilover company or just throw AC Schnitzer springs.
My X4 m40i currently on H&R and its exactly how you describe it
