If anything aluminum hex would hide scratches better than any of the glossy wood finishes because of the pattern. I only have 900 miles on my aluminum hex and its still scratch free.
I had anthracite wood on my last F10 and that was a pain to upkeep. Fingerprints and scratches drove me nuts. I kept of microfiber towel in the car just to get rid of the fingerprints every time i drove it.
