Is that an upgrade from the stock system or the HK? And we've stated that just that upgrade in speaker is better than stock? Just checking before I move forward. The old BMW stock was better than current F15 IMO...

Mine is an upgrade from the HK. I assume there is a difference in the amp, but I haven't been able to find specs on base vs HK amp. A speaker upgrade must still have a decent amp driving them |
Base uses the amp in the idrive/head unit. Hk has an outboard amp. |
Didn't know that. And considering the I drive CPU is too slow to even smoothly display the rear view camera I wouldn't have much confidence in a base model amp.
