This is going to sound odd given all the complaints I read, I have a 2016 X5 40e and I live in the DC area. I have never had to put the AC on max, I always have it on Auto with temp at 68 to start with then 74 because it gets freezing cold in the hottest summer day after about 5-10 minutes. I think everyone knows you are supposed to start the AC and open all the windows for few minutes when you first start the car. I have black on black and I have to park in the sun at work.
