It makes the amount you have to turn the steering wheel less for any given angle of turn. It doesnt make the steering easier to turn
So say you have to turn the normal steering 1 full rotation to make a certain turn, with active steering you may only have to turn it 1/2 a rotation to make the same turn. (not actual figures, just for example)
Makes it feel more sporty and is great for people with shoulder problems aswell as parking in tight spots..
On the F15 and F16 Active steering is also hydraulic instead of the standard electric steering
