+1. I agree. I have smoke white and my upper dash is brown -- scotch brown. My lower dash is smoke white. Both form a nice contrast to the carbon fiber at the edge. I think the contrast makes it look better.
I don't know if I would have picked brown for the upper part of the dash, but the BMW designers did a great job. It all flows together well.
