I had placed an order for an X5 on 10/26 and was confirmed a production slot in week 48 (last week of Nov 2013), but I got an email from my dealer rep yesterday communicating as follows, which I quote:

"
I am sorry to let you know that Bmw just sent out a “urgent” email.

The email read that any 2014 X5’s on order that have a variety of option’s including rear view camera’s are going to be delayed until January production due to a lack of camera’s.

So what this mean’s is that you are probably looking at a mid to late February delivery on the X5 I am guessing."

Anyone else having the same issue? The dealer is asking me to call the BMW customer service to protest....not sure how much of help that would be.
