+1. However you should also take into account how long you had that screw driving with you... I caught a screw in my RFT just as I was reaching dealership for oil change/etc., so it didn't damage the tire as bad as it could. Patched it up properly, and then test-drove... slowly increasing the speed all the way past 200 km/h. No problems after 7000 km to date.

My rule of thumb with RFTs is simple: if the screw is anywhere near the sidewall and has been exposed to the road (i.e. pressure applied) for a long period of time after the "puncture" - just replace the RFT. Otherwise - patch it properly.
