x5 screen dead

I Have a 2014 bmw x5 with the bang and olufsen system.

My screen has suddenly stopped working. I purchased it about 2 months ago and everything was working great. There is no response from anything stereo related. I've also started getting warning lights related to things that are connected to the screen (pedestrian warning, active cruise, collision warning)

I definitely miss the old school 11 wire stereos when it comes to trouble shooting. I have no idea where to start here. I've checked fuses (2 panels on passenger side under dash, passenger Trunk panel, and on top of the battery)

I noticed that there is a green connector that wasn't connected anywhere, and doesn't fit into the open orange spot.

There is also a tiny black wire labelled with tape that isnt connected.

I've also charged both batteries and I took apart the dash to see if anything has come loose.

The original owner (I am 3rd) apparently did a system upgrade to a newer (2017) system with the newer eNBT system.

Anyone know what I can try next?

attached are a few pics of the units and the model numbers.
