My current X5 had Summer performance tires, as will the X5 M. I have a set of Winter wheels and tires for my X5 and will need them for my X5 M as well. We get a decent amount of snow here. The Summer tires are useless in temps below 40 degrees. I don't drive my M3 much in the Winter, so it isn't an issue for that car.
