Also another factor, TMAP sensor. I have seen a few cars including mine had faulty TMAP sensor from BMW.

93 octane. Always. I even drive around the station and make sure I use a pump where the last person also pumped 93. That way I don't get a hose full of lower octane fuel.
What did your car do when the sensor was bad?
Perhaps if/when it happens again, I should let it store the code, remove the RC and let the dealership sort it out?
I wish I had a definitive answer, as I'm starting to like the RC!
