*Note: Euro MPG and USA MPG are not calculated the same way.
The fuel consumption given in miles per gallon and the CO2 emission given in grams per kilometre represent the combined values. In line with new European standards, the range shown displays the fuel consumption and CO2 values from the smallest to largest wheel size available on the selected model.
Quick equation will help get an estimate of combined value.
USAMPG (50i) / UKMPG (50i) = USAMPG (35d) / UKMPG (30d)
17 / 27 = x / 45.6 (SOLVE FOR X)
X = 28.7 MPG Combined

I dont think you can just use ratio
It's easy to convert UK to US mpg by simply comparing gallons
45.6 Imp = 38 US mpg
However, is the 30d on UK site is the new TwinPower diesel?
It's supposed to be more efficient
Also, keep in mind, even after conversions, for some reason US mpg numbers are always worse than EU
Comparing differences to 5-er, X5 is usually 2mpg less than 5-er (xDrive)
Since 535d is 26/37, i expect X5 35d to be
24 city / 35 hwy
