For those who went through the procedure yet it still seems to not work after programming, I noticed I have to hold the button on the X5 mirror 2-3 seconds before the garage door will start to open/close. This was a lot longer than I anticipated, the remotes that came with my garage door opener activate instantly. So at first I thought it wasn't working on the X5.
