I had the same dilemma. A dealer that had one on the lot would not let me do a test drive. I kept checking local dealers inventories online and finally found one that would let me test drive. I'm not sure how many dealers you have in your area.
I think your best bet is what Luca said. Find a dealer with a used M on the lot. The F85s are out a few years, I'm sure there are plenty of lease returns out there.
