2. The 2018 has more lag (turbo lag?) when starting from a stop or when passing. It is not bad, but noticeable.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the VW emissions scandal. I know BMW came out of dieselgate clean and clear, but I wonder if they made any tweaks to be extra careful.
I still love the X5 but thought I would share my experience.
I had a 2014 X-line 30d earlier and now a late 2017 M sport 40d.
