ECE taillights were a retrofit. Unfortunately they're not working properly due to wiring differences between US and RoW vehicles. I have the wiring diagrams and will be fixing this soon.

They have a different beam pattern than US cars. It's not a symmetric cutoff pattern. Throws more light to the side of the road.

Coding was not required.
