Drivers door switches not working

Hi,
I changed the door cards today and the new one on the drivers side came with a slightly different set of switches, it has what looks like an additional folding mirror switch whereas the previous one did not.
the problem I have now is the drivers mirror points directly down as far as it can go and none of the switches ( mirrors or windows) work on the cluster.

The door card did also have ambient lighting fitted and again the old one didn't, but this appears to have separate wiring to the mirror/windows switch cluster so I'm hoping this isn't related.

Is anything coded differently for the switch units that might cause this, or should I just swap the old switch unit back in ( its a bit scruffy so don't really want to if not needed)

Thanks
