strange key/instructions?

I picked up my 2017 F85 today. It has a strange key which I assume is something to do with aux heating/S536.

Anyone know how it works/where to get instructions?

What is this keyfob? Do we get this in the States?

I have a '17 also, but my keyfob looks like the original from BMW.
