Interesting. IMO, that's a lot for what the Xline offers. There's not much more than the luxury line offer, but they charge $900 more?

Running Boards

I have an X5 Xdrive 35i which was built 2 weeks ago waiting to be shipped. The price was raise $400.00 on the running boards. I hope they don't continue to hold and raise prices.

I think, perhaps, I fell out of my chair when I saw the grand total on this vehicle... I'm sure this car will be spectacular. However, TTL, this car will be out the door over $100k or very, very close to. Has BMW lost their mind? Can you say 2nd mortgage?

Agreed. In the TFL video, BMW's product advocate guy said running boards would be included in the xline package. I think that was always the plan for the US market from everything I read. With this recent change, the Luxury line and the xLine are similar personification packages that are $900 apart. Somebody at BMWNA got greedy.

EDIT: just noticed that when you download the standard/optional equipment brochure from bmwusa.com it is dated July 16, 2013 and still shows the aluminum running boards as standard within the xLine package. You better fix that BMW.

I'm surprised no one has posted an order for sDrive35i. I wonder why? I'm leaning towards the sDrive35i as a replacement for my wife's 2009 Acura MDX. What's the justification on xDrive35i vs sDrive35i?

We live in Austin, TX and don't really "off-road". This is a daily driver to / from work and around town. We might take a road trip to Houston, Dallas, San Antonio once a year.

Should i be thinking xDrive instead?

thanks,
Pesh

Probably three months: however this was a first production order made before they started building '14 X5s.

NICE build! I have the Bang & Olufsen Sound System in my '14 M5 and really like it!

I'd think you'll see a VIN# before the end of October and see the care before Thanksgiving. Of course this guess is worth what you paid for it

Im glad to see the Bang & Olufsen sound system was a wise choice. A lot of extra money, but im hoping it was well worth it!

I hope your guess is worth more than what I paid for it, because I could live with that timeline! Lol

Thanks!

looks like they have fixed the problem. BMWUSA is not charging extra $400 for running boards with xLine.

We own property in Centerville so we are in the SLC area several times a year.

We also go to Jackson, WY for snowmobiling, usually in January/February. Of course for that we use our King Ranch F250 4x4 to pull our car hauler loaded with snowmobiles.
