Also, I don't believe we've heard about CCBs, but I doubt BMW would bring them over to its SUVs.

It looks like the X5M will have X5 headlights, instead of sharing the sportier X6 headlights like it did in the last generation (and how the last and upcoming generation of M3 shares the headlights from its coupe sibling).

What's the camo for? We all know what this is pretty much going to look like. Same old...same old. Just a truck with a lot of power that won't be used 98% of the time.

My kids love launch control in my X6M!! As to comments on how it doesn't look too different from non-M model, that's always been the case with M. They are sort of sleepers. Quad exhaust, blue (black on the initial E70/E71 pre LCI) M brake calipers, M side gills, larger front intakes .... How much more visual difference can you expect? Its always been like this... |

Looks like it'll have a different front bumper. Notice that the surround camera is on an attachment hanging under the grill on this one, but on M-sport pictures of other F15s it's drilled in between the grills.
So either the grill is bigger (different hood == more expensive) or they've changed the bumper to make the openings bigger.... |

The thing that bothers me the most is the headlights. The X5M really stood out from the X5s because it shared its headlights with the X6. I'd take an LCI X5M (E70) over this for sure. I mean if you just put the LCI headlights next to these, which one would you pick as more sporty?? As for the bumpers, there's camo there so lets just wait and see. Here's my wish list for the new x5m:
-Raised hood -DCT -More exhaust sound/tone -Better Seats (more support/sportier) -A bit less gap between the wheels and arches (after market springs suck, kw is too expensive..) -Headlights of the new x6.. -Paddles from the LCI M5. that's it for now. Lets hear your wishlist now! |
