I had poplar wood in my first BMW and I hated it because it made the interior look like a Buick/Oldsmobile/Mercury.. it was the default wood trim if I don't select a trim. In my second BMW I had dark bamboo wood trim which was a lot nicer and gave it a more contemporary look.. My 3rd BMW I had the same bamboo but it was darker.

On my current X5 I went with the Hexagon Aluminum trim and love it. I read lots of people having issues with aluminum trims because it dents and scratches easy and I was a little worried.. As of 7 months of ownership, my Hexagon trim is flawless.. and still love it.. If I had a chance to change it to something else.. The only other trim I would get is carbon fiber.
Going forward I think I'm done with wood trims

yes, me too ... and I looked at all the alternatives against the Terra, and concluded Poplar was best ... I still LOVE it

2015 or 16 F15 interior design is amazing and even you choose poplar wood, that not make it like to a Buick or some others old style car. Before put the order, I checked one 50i with poplar wood and fall in love with it in immediately, it just show luxury feeling with new F15 interior design.

as long as I know, we pay for no color difference...probably already embedded into the base price.

11/01. Get my car's VIN from my SA and he said the car was shipping out on 10/31 and on the way to Oxnard, CA. Then from Oxnard to Oregon, the car will be transmitted by truck.
