I like almost everything about the interior except all that blank area around the preset buttons. Looks like my daddys 1980 dodge ram. Just seems unfinished and disconnected from the rest of the dash and console. The F15 flows them together very nicely. I like the read out changes for the climate, but I hate the blank area it left when they move it up.
I noticed the same thing RedStick - I REALLY miss that from my Explore. I have a thumbdrive with like 500 songs on it and I just had them all in there set to random and if something did not strike your fancy - you could just hit next on the wheel and go to the next random song. I can do that in the F15 too, but I have to use the button on the radio or idrive wheel and miss having that right on the wheel. Be a very welcome addition for me!

1st world problem I know, but the first thing so far I have missed from my old 12 POS explorer. Except maybe the seats.....that thing had great seats. I might just have not found the one of the 75,254 ways this seat adjust that my butt likes though, so I'm not ready to call that one yet........

Went to dealer today to buy oil filter. Saw several x3/4/5 standing outside. When they are standing to each other and you see lots of them - they seem very bland and boring looking - can't tell which one was x5 or x4 or x3 until i looked at badge on the back. x5 in person is same x5 with bumper changes - it's basically a facelift from exterior point. I looked inside and a new car is a new car - it's always attractive, but I can't say it is better than my x5. Choice of colors matters too. I would say there was bigger change from E70 to F15, than from f15 to G05. Exterior wise it's just a facelift.

If all one cares about is looks, then yes, there is no revolutionary change from F15 to G05 (but it's in line with every other model from any car manufacturer, isn't it?)
But, if you consider all the changes in suspension (full pneumatic, adjustable), all the electrics in the boot, all the nice gadgets inside, heated / cooled cupholders etc, then I would say it's far more than a facelift... |

I mean, how much more tech do we need? Do people really not use the GPS on their phones? Because I’ve never found a better GPS than what’s on my iPhone. Let’s see, what else is there...music. How many different ways do we need to connect our phones to our radio to play music? Hand gestures? Come on...that’s not what sells cars. Aesthetics and performance are what sells cars. Do folks really need their text messages to come through on their phone, watch, and now on the car screen? It just seems silly and unnecessary.
