All weather mats problem

We're in Minnesota. A light vinegar/water mix works great every spring. Let it sit. Rinse it. Let it dry. Vacuum.

Ah ok, that's pretty frequent. I've read it can actually bind to carpet over extended amounts of time 30+ days.
