Opinion from BMW Genius on mods

Before you flame me out....more discussions on ECU mods.
This Genius is a straightforward guy and former Porsche F1 driver. He said all manufactures piggy back mods are a little different and take up to a month in many cases to get full effect. He also said he was not aware of any mod that could piggy back on another mod including MPPK..????? What!? He is telling me one mod will over right the other. I hear so many different opinions and have read ALL the post over the last three weeks.

Is there an engineer out there that can verify. I have a Berger Stage 1 and used it a couple weeks. Took it off and wanted to install MPPK and then the Stage 1 on top of it, He is telling me you basically have done most of what u can do unless you go to a flash or ECU over write and run 100+ and go down pipe cat less etc route.

Is there trusted empirical data to show otherwise. New to site but just don’t want to throw dollars at something I already have basically. Thanks.

Porsche F1 driver? Exactly how old is this Genius? Their program ended in like 1964 or something.

Haha I was just thinking the same thing.

But he's not wrong about putting a tune over a tune. It doesn't work like that. Unless the tunes are adjusting different settings altogether.

You can add multiple hardware mods because they are all separate and unique and build on one another however, I couldn't run a bench tune over my race chip as the settings they both change would overlap this one would have to override the other. I can't have two things telling my ECU or my turbos to spin differently. That just doesn't make sense. Too many chefs in the kitchen.

LOL. He’s 70 plus and perhaps raced something other than F1s later but raced for Porsche is his background. My point is do you get MPPK and add in the stage one or is he right and u r only paying for MPPK and u basically have it with Stage 1?
