What are big ticket repair items for the F85?

I'm scheduled to have a PPI done tomorrow to buy an extended warranty but before I shell out that much money, was wondering what are some of the potential big ticket repair items? Debating if I should chance it and pay out of pocket or just get the warranty.

The extended warranty is up to you and depends on your comfort level. As for the big ticket items, it's mostly brakes/rotors, air bags and maybe front control arms. The rest is just routine maintenance really.

Don't brakes fall under maintenance?

What's the cost for airbags? Control arms can't be that much.

Brake pads F+R and rotors were indeed replaced under the maintenance plan, sorry. But I'll have to look up the other items. I'm sure others will chime in..

Just had airbags done. $320 for aftermarket airbags at FCP Euro and $350ish labor to install.

Steering column replacement is another common one. I think that's about $1,000-$1,500. Less common that that (I think) is transfer case replacement.
