If you do some basic quick research, MPSS's do wear quickly, info is out there, tread is rated at 300, its a summer performance tire, not to mention it's a staggered setup. Prolonging by rotating is not possible. Plenty people on various sedan car forums note getting 12-18k on a set, we re are mounting these on heavy xDrive trucks. Driving habits do matter as well, many variables here to be honest seems, like this set will get 12-15k.

I would offer that "becoming a tire whisperer " ( stealing a line from a noted poster)& rotating the staggered setup side to side will help your tire life greatly. I'm not a cautious drier ,SWMBO'd is constantly on me to be less aggressive, neither do I participate in every red light Gran Prix nor on ramp speed test, but I'm 15k into my mpss's and believe I'll see 25+K out of them. But I check air when cold every Monday AM and side to side rotate them every 5K

The rims are in excellent condition. I am stating that your ad was misrepresented and the wheels had a lot more than 5k, probably 10k-12k miles. But at this point it doesn't really matter. I already purchased them. Lesson learned.

Did you check the tread depth when you bought the car?
NO I did not check tread depth of tires when I bought the car and I dont know anyone who would do that, I was too excited about the new car! that being said, I have many high end SUVs and this X5M is no exception compared to tire wear on Porsche's and Lamborghini's - the MPSC2 on my GT3RS only lasted be 5K street miles, after which they had to be replaced, MPSS on my F12 M6 lasted me 9K miles before replacement, the Pirelli PZero on my Urus looks pretty worn after 2K miles so I have no doubt that these tires show, the right wear for 5K miles unless you drive like a boomer!
