Help with part for Driver Seat Ambient lIghting
Long story short...
My son noticed the ambient lightning on the rear of the drivers seat was not working. I took off the rear seat panel and found the fiber optic cable was snapped apart. I tried to hack the two ends together with minimal success. Now I want to fix it correctly. I'm confused on what parts I need. According to this diagram it appears I need #16: Although it appears to me that it's only the housing of the fiber cable itself. When I search for the part number of the connected of the broken fiber cable 9240765-A102 I get the bottom image next to what appears to be the fiber cable I need but I can't get a part number. If anyone can't point me in the right direction, I'll buy you a beer. |

It's hard to tell what are you looking for - care to share some photos?
And the easiest way to fix a fibre cable is using a juice-box straw

Here is the LED connector and the broken Fiber Cable. The part number on the connector doesn't look like it comes with the fiber cable:

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/f...ric/1VnY3IORPj Mine appears to be version 1, was the part number 52109180209 you ordered version 1 or 2? Also did it come with the fibre-optic conductor that you were able to just put into the LED connector? I thought about trying to superglue it back, but pretty sure that will block a lot of the light trying to come through the tube. |

happydude Did you end up fixing yours? Was cleaning my car today and found the same problem with my driver seat LED not working. Which one did you get? I don't have comfort seats and real OEM is a bit confusing on this. Part number 52109180209 seems to be for the comfort seats (shaft clamping rings) and I am having issues with finding version for basic seat with clamps.
Edit: Found it! Part number 52109180203 Last edited by RED_Y_; 04-09-2022 at 05:31 PM.. |

I'm not sure I would ever have known about this ambient lighting on the seat back had I not seen this thread. Sure enough - a gentle white light is there in my 35d M Sport. Wonder what I'll discover next?
